In this interactive workshop, members of the Leeds DClinPsychol Inclusion Team invite you to ‘Deconstruct’ Disability.
This full-day, in-person workshop will:
- Review Disability as a protected characteristic under the Equality Act (2010).
- Interrogate historical and current understanding and discourse around Disability.
- Reflect on the experiences of Disabled people within education, employment, and specifically psychology training programmes.
- Describe Reasonable Adjustments and our collective responsibilities as supervisors, managers, and clinicians.
We recognise the variety of roles and responsibilities applied psychologists have within their organisational context. This workshop is open to all who wish to further their knowledge and understanding of Disability. You do not have to be providing a placement to a trainee to benefit from this workshop.
