Overview
Join us for a thought-provoking exploration of planetary health and its relevance to Clinical Psychology. Human activity is contributing to dramatic changes to our planet. Whilst the focus is understandably often on the immediate environmental impacts, ecological and environmental disruption in turn impacts on human physical and mental health in a myriad of ways. This workshop will explore why planetary health matters for clinical psychology. We’ll discuss how environmental change affects the people we work with, which groups may be most vulnerable, and how a social justice perspective can guide our understanding. We’ll also consider the role psychologists can play in supporting adaptation, mitigation, and positive change.
