Glossary of Doctorate in Clinical Psychology Terms

We strive to communicate clearly and avoid using acronyms or jargon that might be unfamiliar to our service users and carers. Our goal is to ensure that everyone feels included and understood. DClin or DClinPsychol = Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
Quantitative = data that can be measured and expressed in numbers. For example, pre- and post-treatment score on a questionnaire.
Qualitative =  data that describes qualities or characteristics and is often expressed in words. For example, people's opinions about a service they have used.
PBL = Problem Based Learning
SCS = Systematic Case Study
SEP = Service Evaluation Project
PPD - Personal and Professional Development

PAF = Placement Assessment Form
PPM = Placement Planning Meeting
MPV = Mid Placement Visit
EPV = End of Placement Visit
